Indication(s):  Acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in adults.

Administration:  Single doses of 6.25 mg or 12.5 mg

Pharmacology:  Selective serotonin 5-HT1B receptor agonist

WebRx Editorial Notes:  Dose may be repeated after 2 hours but not more than 2 doses within 24 hours.  Should not be used within 24 hours of use of any other triptan, other serotonin 5-HT1B agents, or ergotamine products.  Higher dose is more effective; lower dose is primarily for patients with kidney or liver impairment.  May be taken with food.  Not tested or indicated for treatment of cluster headache.
