Teveten (eprosartan mesylate) 600mg tablets

Indication(s):  Treatment of hypertension alone or in combination with other agents.

Administration:  Usually 600mg once a day.  May be taken in total daily doses between 400mg and 800mg administered once or twice daily.

Pharmacology:  Reversible competitive inhibition of the AT₁ receptor (ARB).

WebRx Editorial Notes:  According to the manufacturer Teveten is effective 24-hour hypertension control regardless of age or sex.  It does not inhibit cytochrome P450 enzymes in vitro.  Generally, no adjustment in initial dosage is needed in patients with hepatic or renal impairment.
